  Deceiving.. Ordered a large lemon chicken (without rice) and half of the container was filled with some sort of dry noodles that tasted like packing peanuts. When you pay over $15 for lemon chicken (which is popcorn sized chicken with a heap of batter) you wouldn't expect for it to be bulked out with horrid "noodles". It was also dry and chewy. Better off buying KFC popcorn chicken, more chicken content and able to be chewed.
  
  Secondly, the steamed rice tasted like it had been made a week ago. It was so dry and grainy, some of the rice was hard in the middle, undercooked. Virtually inedible. I don't know how cooking rice is a hard task in the hospitality business but they somehow managed to ruin rice.
  
  The only redeeming quality of this terrible expirience was the black bean beef which was mediocre.

  My regular order is the cashew pork with rice. When I said 'regular' it means I've been there pretty often and always ordered the same thing. Have tried others, but cashew pork is my favourite. Taste fresh and not too salty. Been craving for one already when I'm typing this

  Located in Newstead, Tasmania the Fortune Wok is just another Chinese Takeaway with facilities to Dine in if you fancy basic furniture. They are prompt and efficient but fixed in what they can serve an example of their lack of adaptability was when I requested a small rice for my 5 yo granddaughter the best they could offer was their small special fried rice at $12 a serving at some other places a small plain rice is $3.50 Most Launceston Chinese Takeaways could well do with some Melbourne style competition. A real plus to Fortune Wik is that all meals are cooked to order.
